Michelle Balsley, CPA, CIA, CGMA

Michelle is a firm partner and the Dickson Office Managing Director.  She is a graduate of West Virginia University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree and a Master of Professional Accountancy degree. Throughout her 25+ year career, she has worked in the public Big Four as well as private accounting sectors, focusing on a variety of industries including nonprofit, construction, banking, broker/dealers, health insurance, employee benefit plans, and manufacturing. Michelle is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the states of Tennessee and Minnesota, a Certified Internal Auditor, and a Certified Global Management Accountant and is a member of her licensors’ various professional societies. In the course of executing high-quality audit and financial reporting services, she seeks to support her clients’ success through process improvements and actionable reporting transparency.

Michelle resides in White Bluff, TN and is an active member and Treasurer of St. John Lutheran Church in Burns, TN; Rotary District 6760 Assistant District Governor and Chair of the District 6760 Disaster Relief Committee; Chair of the Community Foundation for Dickson County Board of Directors; Chair of the Habitat for Humanity Dickson County Community Advisory Council; Treasurer of the Downtown Dickson Association; past President of the Dickson High Noon Rotary Club; past Board Chair, Community Volunteer Leader and Disaster Action Team Lead of the American Red Cross TN River Chapter; and an alumnus of the Leadership Middle Tennessee Class of 2023.

Ian Brison

 Ian Brison is a Sr. Associate at Blankenship CPA Group and currently works with the Reporting Solutions Group. He has over 5 years of experience at the Firm, starting out in the Tax and Audit departments.  Ian earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Tennessee Tech University. Primary responsibilities include preparing engagement letters, drafting and modernizing reports for the Audit department and finalizing finished audit reports. 

Ian is a team player with a positive attitude and brings integrity and flexibility to the team. When not working he enjoys reading from a wide range of genres, playing strategy games, weight lifting and golfing.

Andrea Doyle

Andrea Doyle joined Blankenship CPA Group at the end of 2021 as part of the ASG and administrative teams.   She has over 8 years of experience in bookkeeping and office management for businesses in the construction and live production industries.  Andrea enjoys helping clients keep their books clean and finding technology solutions that make their organizations stronger. 

Andrea has loved living in Tennessee.  Some of her favorite things include hiking Montgomery Bell, driving down the country roads, and actually being able to see the stars. 

Mindy Logan

Mindy is the People First (HR) Team Member & Consultant serving internal and external clients in a multifaceted human resources role. Mindy is a human resources professional with extensive experience in all HR related functional areas. Most recently she was the SVP, Human Resources Director at Reliant Bank in Franklin where she helped the bank grow from 35 to over 400 employees. As a member of the bank’s leadership team, she was responsible for recruiting, policy development, employee relations, benefits administration, performance management, payroll, learning and development, and M & A project planning and execution.

Mindy is committed to providing value-based services; anticipating and meeting the needs of her internal and external clients; producing quality solutions on agreed-upon timelines; and most importantly, building relationships based on integrity and professionalism.

Mindy has lived in Pennsylvania, California, New York, and has called Middle Tennessee home since 1992. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, working out, and being in the kitchen cooking and baking.

Anita Lowe

Anita Lowe joined BCPAG in January 2010 as a staff accountant at the Dickson Campus, where she has been providing accounting services since 2002.  She has an Associate Degree in Computer Accounting from Nashville State Technical Institute and was the valedictorian of her class.

Anita was born and raised in Burns, TN.  She attends Burns Church of Christ.  Anita loves to read and is a member of a book club.  She also enjoys spending time with friends and family.

Melissa Presgraves-Ferrell

Melissa is the Dickson Operations Coordinator and Accounting Services Team Lead, having served clients in the Dickson County area since 1985. She holds an Associate degree in Computer Accounting from Nashville State Technical Institute and provides services to a variety of clients and industries, including monthly bookkeeping, payroll, and financial statement compilation and business, sales, and payroll tax filings. She also provides support to the tax team throughout the filing season. Melissa’s attention to detail, positive attitude, and commitment to her clients and team members has made her an indispensable member of the Dickson office team. Melissa enjoys spending time with her family and friends, gospel music, walking and is an active member of Freedom Baptist Church.

Lindsey T. Ray

Lindsey is a Senior Associate in the Reporting Solutions Group who enjoys coming along side other team members and providing support with reporting and formatting needs. Lindsey graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a specialty in Accounting from the University of Tennessee at Martin in 2016. She worked within the accounting/HR department at a small not-for-profit museum while obtaining her degree. Shortly after graduation, Lindsey began her career in the public accounting field with a Northwest Tennessee accounting firm as an Administrative Assistant and assisted the audit team with technical reviews. In 2018, she moved on to another accounting firm and became an Associate working in bookkeeping, payroll, assisting with taxes, and front desk duties as needed. During August 2020, she joined the Blankenship family and currently works out of our Dickson location. Lindsey and her husband, Jacob Ray, have been happily married since 2009. They have two beautiful, energetic, young daughters and a well behaved German Shepard. They enjoy any and all types of music and playing outside with their girls anytime they get the chance.

Holden Snyder

Holden Snyder is an Associate at Blankenship CPA Group working in the tax department and accounting solutions group. Holden is a recent graduate from the University of Tennessee at Martin, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree and majored in finance and accounting. He works primarily with individuals and small business, assisting in a range of capacities from day-to-day bookkeeping, to annual tax filings.

Holden is native to the Dickson area, and is a graduate of Leadership Dickson County. He enjoys golf, and playing the banjo.

Wm. Michael Walters, CPA

Mike Walters is the Director Emeritus of the Dickson office.  Mike grew up in Huntsville, Alabama, the 2nd of 10 siblings, and graduated from the University of Alabama in 1973. He worked as an internal auditor for Genesco for 3 years, served as the Director of Internal Audit for Nashville Electric Service for 3 years and then started practicing public accounting in Dickson in 1979.  Mike has served many local business and commerce organizations in a variety of capacities, including but not limited to Rotary and the Chamber of Commerce.  Mike works with many not-for-profits and businesses in and around Dickson, and has audited numerous Cities over the years as well.

Mike has 3 children, and is married to his lovely wife Judy.  Mike loves fishing & enjoys golf whenever he can find some spare time.
